Martin Wells set up Five Stones in 2016 to provide audits, consultancy and training in both health and safety and environmental management. The organisation works directly or through other parties to deliver a range of services. All the services can be tailored to the site and its needs. Clients may choose a more standard product that is recognised by inspectors and insurers and five stones is able to deliver well recognised NEBOSH and IOSH courses.

Martin Wells has worked for over 30 years in health and safety and environmental management, managing compliance in organisations and training and consultancy across multiple sectors. Where necessary a team of experienced associates are used to bring complementary skills and experience.

Martin Wells

From 1987 Martin worked as an inspector for a local authority enforcement serving health and safety notices and taking prosecutions. He was also involved in Environmental enforcement cases and reviews of planning applications and investigations of nuisance. Over time his role developed, and he took on a managing role overseeing enforcement and the management of the local authority’s own health and safety obligations.

In 2002 martin joined the training and consultancy team at WATA and took on the NEBOSH health and safety and environmental diplomas as well as IEMA and IOSH products. Martin also worked as a consultant providing services to Jordan Ryvita, Trinity College - Cambridge, HMGCC, GSK and many others.

Martin has a strong NEBOSH background and he gained national candidate of the year for two units when taking the health and safety diploma.

In 2016 Martin set up his own organisation Five Stones to provide audit, consultancy, and training services from their base in Soham, Cambridgeshire.
